Low-Calorie Bagel Club

Ingredients:

  • 50g low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 bagel, halved and lightly toasted
  • Ham  
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • ¼ lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Spring onion cut
  • 1 fried egg
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Baby tomatoes, sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Vinegar
  • Salt

Method:

Spread the cottage cheese over both halves of the toasted bagels. Add the ham to the bottom halves, then top with the avocado. Squeeze over a little lemon juice and season well.

Bring a pan to low heat, crack the egg into the pan and fry till ready. Place the egg on one half of the bagel and sprinkle cayenne pepper to taste, then add the baby tomatoes, spring onion and cucumber. Top it off with the other half of the bagel and serve.

This breakfast bagel is packed with protein from the eggs and ham, healthy fats from the avocado and calcium from the cottage cheese. It’s a balanced and satisfying meal to kickstart your day and support your weight loss journey.
